SUMMARY:AICLA WA Division International Women's Day Luncheon
DESCRIPTION:The WA Division of AICLA is proud to support International Women’s Day 2024 with this special luncheon featuring an all female panel. \n  \n11:30am – 2:30pm\, 8 March 2024 \nDuxton Hotel Grand Ballroom\, Perth \n  \nCount Her In: Accelerating gender equality through economic empowerment \nWomen’s economic empowerment is central to a gender equal world. When women are given equal opportunities to earn\, learn and lead – entire communities thrive. \nThe theme for International Women’s Day 2024 is Count Her In: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress. \nBased on the priority theme for the United Nations 68th Commission on the Status of Women\, Count Her In will examine the pathways to greater economic inclusion for women and girls everywhere. \nWhile important progress has been made\, women face significant obstacles to achieving equal participation in the economy. \nWithout equal access to education\, employment pathways\, financial services and literacy\, how can we ever hope to reach gender equality? \nWe must ensure women and girls are given equal opportunity to build their capabilities and strengthen their capacity to learn\, earn and lead. \nThis year’s topic is very relevant as WA has the highest gender pay gap of any Australian state/territory and the Insurance and Finance industry has the second highest gender pay gap of any industry.
