SUMMARY:QLD Breakfast Seminar
DESCRIPTION:The QLD Division’s third and final breakfast seminar for 2025 will be held at Victoria Park on 30 July. \nMould Remediation Standards\nPresented by Jeremy Stamkos\, Managing Director and Principal Consultant\, RIC Solutions. \nAustralia’s restoration industry has followed international IICRC (Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification) mould remediation standards for two decades. It now likely the updated ANSI/IICRC S520 Standard (4th Edition) will become an Australian Standard by Q3 2025. \nWhile not legally mandated\, insurers and consumers expect compliance with this standard to help reduce the claims lifecycle and deliver superior customer outcomes. This presentation outlines compliance requirements from a loss adjusting perspective and establishes reasonable expectations for remediation contractors. \nJeremy is a Council-certified Indoor Environmental Consultant and has been in the specialised cleaning and restoration industry for over thirty years with extensive experience in both the provision and consulting on decontamination of built environments. Jeremy is the Chair of the Standard Australian Committee ME-094\, responsible for adopting the international standards for water damage restoration and mould remediation. \nAICLA CPD: 1 Point\nOur thanks to sponsors: \n  \n \n  \n \n  \n \n  \n  \n  \n
