DESCRIPTION:Your WA AICLA Committee is pleased to announce that our next Breakfast Seminar will be held on Thursday the 1st of February 2024. \nWe have secured Mike Sander from CRD Building Consultants and Engineers to present on Causation vs Causality relating to: \n\nHow to separate multiple perils in causation\nDifferentiate between single events\, multiple events and progressive/continual events\nHow to effectively brief forensic specialists.\n\nMike Sander holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Structural)\, he joined CRD in January 2016 having previously worked as a structural engineering consultant for over 13 years in Western Australia\, New South Wales and the ACT. \nAs a Structural Engineer Mike has been involved in a wide range of projects from domestic through to large scale commercial\, industrial and retail projects up to $600m in value. \nMike has conducted numerous assessments for adjusters to identify proximate cause of damage which greatly assists with making recommendations to Insurers. \nThe presentation should be of interest to our Members\, Claims Handlers\, Underwriters & Brokers.
