A foreign correspondent with 25 years experience\, he was in Egypt covering the unfolding political crisis when he and two colleagues were arrested and charged with terrorism offences. They were convicted in a sham trial and sentenced to seven years in prison. After an intense international campaign\, he was released after 400 days. Alisa won her Olympic Gold in Freestyle Aerial Skiing at the 2002 Salt Lake City Games\, completing a triple twisting double somersault just six weeks after breaking both ankles. She went on to win the World Championships\, hold the World Number 1 ranking for multiple years and returned from two knee reconstructions to win Olympic Bronze in Turin in 2006. \nAlisa has a rare combination of elite athletic experience\, corporate leadership and governance expertise. She served as Chef de Mission for the 2026 Australian Winter Olympic Team\, sits on many prominent Australian Boards\, and spent 18 years working globally with IBM across sales\, strategy and transformation roles.
