Tony Morgan has been an active loss adjuster since 1973, resolving thousands of insurance claims in Australia and the Pacific region. He has held a variety of positions including National Chief Adjuster and CEO of GAB Robins Australia (now Sedgwick), President of the Australasian Division of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters and President of Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.
He is described in one quote in AICLA’s history of the loss adjusting profession in Australia, “What Killed the Tiger”, as “probably the doyen of my generation”. In 2022, he became one of two inaugural recipients of the AICLA Lifetime Achievement Award.
Over the years, he has produced numerous published articles, books and educational materials that focus mainly on technical issues. The book fulfils a desire to stand back from those technical issues and to look at the “art” rather than the “science” of loss adjusting.
